MUSIC | I Blame Coco returns.....Sort Of.

Sometimes the best comebacks are the ones we don't expect. Eliot Sumner's band I Blame Coco have been dormant for few years (four to be exact) with their last release being 2010's The Constant. Then rather unannounced a new track appeared on soundcloud. 'Information' contains all the elements you would expect from I Blame Coco - glistening synths, introspective lyrics and of course Sumner's husky vocals - but Information expands from your typical pop fair clocking in a little over 7 mins and featuring a pretty killer breakdown. Also, there is the name change. I Blame Coco has been dropped and Elliot is just using her real name. "It’s now or never," she comments. "I’m proud of the music I’m making and it’s time to take ownership by putting my real name on it." We can't wait to see what she has in store for us, but if this track is any indication of new material to come it definitely doesn't disappoint.
